1The Challenge
An investor from Shanghai wanted to relocate their family of four to the United States through the EB-5 program. The complexity involved coordinating simultaneous I-526E petition filing and consular processing for all family members, while navigating strict source-of-funds documentation requirements for investment capital derived from multiple sources including real estate sales and business income in China.
2Our Strategy
We conducted comprehensive due diligence on the regional center project, documenting the job creation methodology and economic impact. For the source of funds, we created a detailed paper trail tracing each source through Chinese banking records, tax documents, and property records — all properly translated and authenticated. We coordinated with our partner attorneys in Shanghai for document procurement and with the Guangzhou consulate for interview preparation.
3The Outcome
All I-526E petitions for the family were approved. Consular processing was completed successfully, and the entire family received their conditional green cards. We are now preparing for the I-829 petition to remove conditions.
